Powell Transportation, based in Columbia, Mississippi, is a non-asset based irregular route common and contract carrier operating predominantly throughout the Midwest, south, and southeast. With Flatbed Trailers, Pole Trailers, Heavy Haul, Powell Transportation serves a wide range of customers both large and small.

Our network of terminals are linked via Internet to a home office host computer to retrieve load information, track equipment, transmit billing and payroll, and coordinate shipments to over 75 trucks which operate within the Powell system daily.  The strategic selection and managed production of these agents and terminals allows our fleet to realize efficient equipment utilization, limited deadhead, and optimal pricing of services
